Essential C.S. Lewis Group Meetings

The first Michaelmas term meeting of the Essential C. S. Lewis Group was held Tuesday, September 15th, from 7:30 - 9:00  in the library of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Rosemont [Montrose and Lancaster Avenues across from Borders Books]. This was also our first Patrick's Boathouse event of the fallwhich a recent film about the life of Lewis entitled C. S. Lewis: Beyond Narnia, was viewed. This hour long drama, filmed on location in Oxford, England, was a 2006 Crown Award winner for best Christian evangelistic film. After the film, a review of our readings in the book "Sincerely, Jack,  Letters of Spiritual Direction from C. S. Lewis". The second part of the book will be our focus this term. The group normally meets on the first and third Tuesdays of the month.

This is year twelve for the Essential C. S. Lewis Group. Our purpose is to reflect upon the life and writings of Lewis and his fellow spiritual travelers - such as G. K. Chesterton, Dorothy Sayers, George MacDonald and, more recently, Thomas Howard. Patrick's Boathouse is an ecumenical ministry with Anglican, Roman Catholic and Evangelical roots. All people of good faith and a sincere interest in C. S. Lewis are welcome to join us. This would be an ideal time to introduce friends to the person and writings of C. S. Lewis.
